The Taggiasca varietal predominant in Liguria produces small olives but rich with delicate oil. Consequently, Taggiasca Olive Ligurian Oil complements ingredients without overpowering them. Thus, Calvi's Lucinasco Extra Virgin Olive Oil accompanies splendidly fish and salads. It's excellent on deep fried seafood. It's good for pastry making and light-based sauces.
Lucinasco Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Lucinasco, on the very top of a hill, at a height of about 500 m, is one of the most beautiful villages of the Valley of Oneglia in western Riviera Ligure. A perfect combination of geographical factors (soil, altitude) and microclimatic conditions (exposure to sun and sea breeze) endow Lucinasco's olive groves – exclusively of Taggiasca variety – with high-quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil acclaimed all over Italy.
Calvi's new selection "Riviera Ligure D.O.P. Lucinasco" is obtained from olives produced in the olive groves of Lucinasco and pressed in the village itself. The bottle is wrapped in gold foil to avoid harmful light exposure.
